Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Cuong Nguyen, the operator of BuildYourBusiness ("BuildYourBusiness", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.

1The service

BuildYourBusiness is an online software platform that helps founders turn a business idea into a structured strategy and then work through it. It uses artificial intelligence to guide a discovery conversation, assess feasibility, generate a business plan, and support execution with a live roadmap and an AI coach.

BuildYourBusiness is a software tool. It is not a coaching, consulting, accounting, legal, financial, or done-for-you writing service, and it does not provide professional advice. You are responsible for the decisions you make for your business.

2Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use BuildYourBusiness. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3Your account

• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login secure.
• You may not share your account, or let anyone else use it, without our permission.
• Tell us promptly at contact@buildyourbusiness.io if you believe your account has been used without your authorisation.

4Plans, billing, and renewal

BuildYourBusiness offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Current options and prices are shown on our Pricing page and at checkout.

• Auto-renewal. Paid plans are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
• Payments. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record and seller of record for your purchase. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout.
• Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Price changes. We may change our prices. Any change will apply to your next billing period, not the one you are already in.

5Free trial

We may offer a free trial of paid features. The trial does not require a card and does not charge you. You are only charged if you choose to subscribe. We may change or end trial offers at any time.

6Refunds

Our refund terms are set out in full in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: you may request 80% back within 7 days of a payment.

7Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the platform for anything unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or that infringes the rights of others;
• attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the platform or its data;
• resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service or its outputs as your own product without our written permission;
• scrape, copy, or extract the platform's content or systems by automated means;
• misuse the AI features to generate unlawful, abusive, or misleading content.

8Your content and our content

You keep ownership of the information you put into BuildYourBusiness and of the plans and outputs generated for you. You grant us a licence to store, process, and use that information as needed to operate and improve the service, including sending it to the third-party AI providers that generate your outputs.

We keep ownership of the platform itself: the software, design, methodology, templates, and brand. These remain our property and are protected by law.

9AI-generated output and no guarantees

BuildYourBusiness uses artificial intelligence and external market research to produce its guidance. AI output can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, and you should verify anything important before you rely on it.

The platform does not provide legal, financial, tax, investment, or other professional advice, and nothing it produces should be treated as such. We make no guarantee of any particular result, including revenue, profit, funding, customers, or business success. Whether your business works depends on many factors outside our control. The decisions are yours.

10Third-party services

We rely on third parties to run the service, including AI providers, payment processing (Lemon Squeezy), hosting, and authentication. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

11Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BuildYourBusiness and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, or for any lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

13Indemnity

You agree to cover us for reasonable claims, losses, and costs that arise from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.

14Suspension and termination

You may stop using BuildYourBusiness at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the service or to others. If we close your account without cause while you have paid time remaining, we will refund the unused portion.

15Changes to the service and these terms

We may update the platform and these terms over time. When we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Vietnam will have jurisdiction over any dispute, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
