This policy explains what BuildYourBusiness collects, why, and the choices you have. BuildYourBusiness is operated by Cuong Nguyen ("we", "us").
1What we collect
- Account information: your name and email address, including details provided when you sign in with Google.
- What you tell the platform: your business idea, answers, uploads, and the goals you share so we can build your plan.
- Generated content: the plans, roadmaps, and other outputs created for you.
- Usage and device data: how you use the platform, plus standard log and device information used to keep it running and secure.
- Billing data: we receive confirmation of your subscription status from our payment provider. We do not collect or store your full card details.
2How we use it
- To provide the service: to run the discovery, generate your plan, and power the execution workspace and AI coach.
- To operate, secure, and improve the platform.
- To manage your subscription and provide support.
- To communicate with you about your account and important changes.
- To meet legal obligations.
3AI processing
To generate your plan and guidance, the information you provide is sent to trusted third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic and Groq) that run the underlying models. They process your data only to return outputs to us. We do not sell your data, and your inputs are not used to train our own models.
4Payments
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as our Merchant of Record. When you buy a subscription, your payment details are collected and processed by Lemon Squeezy under their own privacy policy. We receive only what we need to manage your access, such as your subscription status and the email tied to the order.
5Where your data is stored and processed
We use reputable infrastructure providers (such as Supabase for our database and Vercel for hosting) to store and serve the platform. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled with appropriate protection.
6Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run BuildYourBusiness (AI providers, payment, hosting, authentication, analytics), and only as needed, or when required by law.
7Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and similar local-storage technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Session recording. To understand how people use BuildYourBusiness and make it better, we record anonymised sessions of how visitors and users move through our pages, such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation. These recordings are masked by default, which means the text on the screen and anything you type is hidden in your browser and never captured. We use them only to improve the product, never to read your business content. You can opt out at any time by adding ?noanalytics=1 to the end of any of our page addresses, which turns off analytics for your browser.
8Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.
9Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email contact@buildyourbusiness.io and we will help.
10Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online service can be completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
11Children
BuildYourBusiness is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
12Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
